Family Wellness: Survival Skills for Healthy Families is an evidence-based program used to teach, encourage, and support families and those who work with them to promote healthy communities. The program teaches practical skills based on proven principles that strengthen, support, and empower families. The philosophy behind the curricula is that the primary responsibility for the development and well-being of children lies within families and that families need new tools to handle the challenges in our present society, and to reclaim their primary role in providing for the healthy development of their members. The program is quickly-learned and easily adapted, and has proven effective in a variety of communities, cultures, and languages.

The goals of the Family Wellness: Survival Skills for Healthy Families are to: empower people to manage their families in healthy ways; provide quality products and services; focus on health and competence; and provide high caliber trainers for families from their own culture.

Basic Instructional Materials The standard package that all Instructors receive as part of their training fee includes the Survival Skills for Healthy Families Instructor Manual, including a CD with master copies of all handouts as well as hard copy handouts and a Survival Skills for Healthy Families Workbook with a letter of permission to copy exercises to be given free to their participants. Additional resources are available for sale, however, they are not required to teach the material. There are no post-training purchase requirements.
