The CLFC Marriage Enhancement Program is a component of the Creating Lasting Family Connections® Curriculum Series and is listed on the National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices (NREPP).The Marriage Enhancement Program helps couples develop a variety of skills that married partners find useful in establish or re-establishing family harmony. Topics include marriage enrichment, effective communication, refusal and conflict resolution skills, using positive parenting techniques, and encouraging other responsible and healthy attitudes and behaviors.


Curriculum Purpose

The Creating Lasting Family Connections® Marriage Enhancement Program is designed to specifically address stresses within a marriage when one of its members is in recovery for substance abuse, incarcerated or reentering the community after a period of incarceration, military service, or any other form of physical or emotional separation.

Instructional Approach The CLFC Marriage Enhancement Program (CLFCMEP) was designed to incorporate a wide variety of learner focused, experiential learning techniques and special hands-on participatory activities. The program is designed to be facilitated by two trained and certified CLFCMEP trainers who also provide opportunities for participants to receive additional practice in private case management sessions.
